***Spoiler Alert!***

I took my son to see the new Spider-Man Movie. It was visually stunning but there were two themes that made me cringe.

#1 the obvious pushing down our throats of the relationship!

#2 the pregnant black woman who is the stereotype of black women in this culture!

The first one I am not going to get too deep into because it's been an obvious agenda in media that is based on a breeding tactic.

The second one pissed me off! Why are black women the superheroes who are out in these streets pregnant and still trying to save the world?

Sorry NO! We are the most fragile during our pregnancies, and I would never encourage people to see us as some motorcycle-riding big mama who can do it all!

WE CAN NOT, AND WE SHOULD NOT! But we are forced to work during our pregnancies!

We get treated the WORST during our pregnancies in and out of the hospitals, with the highest mortality rates amongst all birthing mothers, and this is how Marvel chose to portray us in the movie.

I am so disappointed! We are not birthing mules! We are human women who should be resting during our pregnancies.
