The history of colonialism is rife with leaders who exhibited traits associated with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). By examining the historical behaviors of these figures, we can draw parallels with contemporary power structures and their impact on global hegemony. This article delves into the narcissistic tendencies of colonial leaders, outlining their similarities and exploring how current hegemonic forces may normalize these toxic traits.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder in Colonial Leaders:

Grandiosity and Authoritarianism:
Colonial leaders often displayed grandiosity, viewing themselves as superior to the populations they sought to dominate. Their authoritarian rule, fueled by a belief in their inherent superiority, contributed to the exploitation and subjugation of entire nations.

Lack of Empathy:
