DARVO, Hegemony, and the Parasitic Class: The Global Strategy of Colonizers
Have you ever confronted someone in “perceived” power about their exploitation, only to be met with their denial, a counterattack, and the reversal of victim and offender? That’s DARVO (Deny, Attack, Reverse Victim and Offender)—a psychological manipulation tactic commonly seen in abusive relationships. But what if I told you that DARVO isn’t just a tool for individual abusers? It’s also a strategy embedded in the very foundation of colonialism, global hegemony, and the parasitic ruling class.
Let’s break it down. The parasitic class—those who sustain their wealth and power by feeding off the labor, land, and energy of others—cannot exist without deception. DARVO allows them to:
Deny their crimes: Erase history, rewrite narratives, and claim their actions were “for the greater good.”
Attack dissenters: Anyone who speaks out is labeled a threat—radical, dangerous, even ungrateful.
Reverse victim and offender: The colonizer claims to be the true victim, framing themselves as the "civilizer," the "protector," or the "innovator" while the oppressed are painted as backward, violent, or undeserving.
